SOFAC specializes in the manufacture of Shakos, kepis, caps, hats, police caps for the Armies, the Police, the Gendarmerie and large French and foreign administrations.

In 1974, Alain Le Carpentier fiercely opposed the decision taken by his employer to close the Bernay factory. He resigned to resume the activity, founded the Company for the manufacture of styling articles (Sofac) and hired a large part of the dismissed employees.

Today, it manufactures both Army and Firefighter caps and Police caps, as well as more recent Specifications such as Gendarmerie Postilions.
